Jaime Rosso's music blurs dancefloor nostalgia, his love of UK soundsystem culture and his own voice through a sample-heavy, psychedelic lens. His debut single “Away” was likened by Clash “to an old Moodymann mix” and praised by The New Cue for its “thoughtful, introspective core”. Reflective of his playful disposition, it’s the kind of left-field pop that’s instantly memorable, always keeping one foot on the dancefloor.
One of the founding members of Social Records Society and the Bis Bis Bis nights at Margate Arts Club, Jaime has also recently released a psychedelic dub remixes of Katy J Pearson’s “Save Me” and Rio Kosta's 'Its Starting'.
Inspired by Jaime's time living in South London, his new EP takes inspiration from London’s soundsystem sonics, mixing in bright melodies and dreamlike atmospherics to create a sound of his own. Influenced by the exuberant atmosphere of summer in the city, Keep Stepping! embraces positivity and the importance of getting out of your own head and engaging with the community around you.
